This Code of Ethics sets out the standards we hold every person delivering support through Heal & Revive to — whether a licensed counsellor, a trained listener, a mentor, a volunteer, or a facilitator. It exists to protect the people we serve, and to make clear, publicly, what we stand for.
This Code applies to all Heal & Revive staff, licensed professionals, trained listeners, volunteers, mentors, ambassadors, and facilitators — including those working within the Heal & Revive Youth Initiative (HRYI) — in every interaction carried out on behalf of the organization.
Every person we support is treated with dignity, without judgment, regardless of their background, beliefs, or circumstances.
We act honestly and transparently, and do not misrepresent our qualifications, services, or outcomes.
We approach every interaction with warmth and genuine care for the person in front of us.
We take responsibility for our conduct and welcome feedback that helps us improve.
Everyone providing support through Heal & Revive maintains clear, appropriate boundaries with the people they support. This includes:
Everyone providing support through Heal & Revive is bound by the confidentiality standards described in our Privacy Policy and, for counselling and listening sessions specifically, our Counselling Terms. Confidential information is never shared for personal gain, curiosity, or outside the limited circumstances described in those documents.
As a global organization, we serve people across dozens of countries, cultures, languages, and belief systems. Everyone providing support through Heal & Revive commits to approaching each person's cultural context with humility and genuine curiosity, avoiding assumptions, and adapting their approach to be respectful of the individual in front of them.
Our counselling, workshops, and educational content are grounded in established psychological research and recognized best practice. We do not present unproven or pseudoscientific claims as fact, and we update our approach as understanding in the field evolves.
Heal & Revive does not discriminate against any person on the basis of race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, or any other protected characteristic. Everyone providing support through our organization commits to the same standard, in every interaction.
If you believe someone providing support through Heal & Revive has acted inconsistently with this Code, please tell us. You can raise a concern through our Complaints & Feedback page, or contact us directly. All concerns are taken seriously and handled with care and confidentiality.
